Sword Fight

I think the final sword fight between Neeson and Roth might be one of the best ever filmed. Any thoughts?

The first thing I thought after watching the movie was just this. One of the best sword fights in film history. What I liked about it was it was realistic not completely choreographed looking like most sword fights in films.

If you have ever fought with a sword you know its allot of muscle and very exhausting. Rob Roy had a disadvantage using a combat sword opposed to the other using a showman's sword which is much lighter in weight. I used to compete for years when I was younger, so from experience I thought Rob Roy's dragging of his heavy sword when fatigued was natural, and you could see his mind working to out smart his opponent, just as he did in the bar when challenged to a fight and he said to the first cut and then he cut himself. As far as him taking the time to pick up his sword at the end before killing his opponent I think this was just an editing flaw. Overall a very good and realistic sword fight, one that made me cheer out loud in the end. That prick deserved it.

... End of line.
