So much criticism for such an awesome movie

This is the quintessential 90s "leave-your-brain-at-the-door" movie and it's very clear that all the actors AND the director were aware of it. Sharon Stone has never looked better, Leo DiCaprio has never been more full of shit in a good way, and Gene Hackman has never been more dastardly. I loved every moment of this, especially that long take were that criminal shows up on horseback, tosses a random guy out the saloon, stumbles out all-of-a-sudden drunk then shoots the same random guy as he fleas on his own horse. This movie is just fun nonsense.

I had a reasonable impression --though never thinking great-- until the explosions at the end. If you have a pretty good intuition and a knowledge of OUATITW/Leone you can get this plot pretty easily. It's an ok film for stylists.

It's a fun homage movie.

Some people go in expecting perfection.

It's their own fault they end up disappointed.
