I bypassed it back in the day because Sharon Stone in a Western didn't interest me. Then I noticed the cast in the movie and thought I'd better check this out.

How does one go wrong with Gene Hackman. He plays his characters so well, especially his bad guys. Sharon Stone looked really pretty in her role, and DiCaprio was enjoyable as well. He really is a good actor. Plus I'm a big fan off Lance Henriksen, and David Keith is pretty cool too.

One of the better Westerns I've seen in a while.

Not a fan of stone or dicap but the movie was pretty good overall. I like when she said at the end, "today i am (as fast as you)"

This is one of my all-time favorite movies, I've owned the DVD for a decade and have watched it at least 50 times. I don't know why it got panned or why it never received that much attention. I've seen a lot of Westerns and most of them bore the shît out of me, but this one was fantastic and that was due in no small measure to Sharon Stone, who is perfect in this role. And of course Gene Hackman, who is positively fearsome as Herod.
