I totally disagree with what Doug Walker has to say. I agree it is historically inaccurate but it is a great film with good characters in it. This film deserves a higher rating like a 7.4 instead of a 6.5. I mean what's all the fuss?

EVERY movie based on a true story is inaccurate and this is a freaking Disney movie, how on earth can anyone be so stupid they would expect a Disney movie to be historically accurate?
It is truly a wonderful movie with songs of gold.
It's definitely a very underrated movie IMO. Better than Hercules or The Hunchback Of Notre Dame.

personally i foudn this movie lame and boring growing up, and when i tried to rewatch it later in life i couldnt get through it.
its a boring movie with a simple story, if u liek it thats fine, but i never did.
most of the characters were pretty forgettable, especially the villain.
Yeah, I love Doug Walker, but he can be a bit pedantic sometimes.
And calling out a Disney movie for its deviation from the source material is kinda like calling out a porno movie for showing nudity.
Doug Walker is right here. (NOSTALGIA CRITIC, CHANNEL AWESOME!) For one, Pocaontas was a little girl aged to a TEENAGER, or SUPERMODEL. Even Tex Avery, at Leon Schlesinger/Warner Bros/Vitaphone (in 1938's JOHNNY SMITH AND POCAHONTAS, starroing Egghead :)),used her as a little girl..for an example..
