It Takes Two and The Parent Trap are almost identical:
..rich dad ..butler ..bitchy fiance ..woman wants to fall in love with dad ..twins ..camp
and it can go on and on. the only difference is that It Takes Two has the girls looking alike while The Parent Trap has the girls being actual twins. I just wanna know what you all like better? It Takes Two or Parent Trap. Personally, I can't really choose?
I love It takes two... has great funny story, and that. and It takes two has actual twins(olsens) and Parent Trap just has Linsday Lohan playing the part of two differnt characters. Its that can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, world series kind of thing.
I like both versions of the parent trap and it takes two..really hard to say which I like the best..cause in the parent trap its actual twin sisters trying to reunite their divorced parents after living aprt for most of their lives.its a beliable story line altho not common in real life now..maybe it was more commin in the past when peple did not realize the importance of not separating siblings esp twins it takes two involves a widower whos dating a new woman whos a gold digger(same scenario in parent trap) not realing she doesn't hreally care obout him or Alyssa just his assets Alyssa is an only child alto is debatable cause Amanda resembles her a lot..they could have been long lost twins separated at birth(the movie leaves that up to the viewer to guess)Alyssa meets Amanda(whos orphaned and a foster child that is in danger of being placed into a home where the parents don't really care just wan to use her for work) who switch Places(PT commonality) to get rid of the gold digger and pair the social worker and the CEO(Roger).in borth caes the gold digger is driven away and in PT the parents remarry..Roger and Diane it looks like the will eventually but one can see a relation ship form so similar yet different
Actually, the father in The Parent Trap wasn't rich. I think the mother was. The girls in It Takes Two didn't go to camp and meet. They met in the woods. There is more than once difference.
I don't watch television that much. When I do, I don't see other one on. My uncle has both movies. Plus, I have "It Takes Two" on VHS. Unfortunately, it's stored away:/
