The Wolf of Wall Street stole the owl joke from Heat. It feels more like a rip-off than homage. It's pretty sad how nobody remembers it from Heat, yet everyone remembers from The Wolf of Wall Street, and thinks it's original.

Heat's really underrated in my opinion. I think it should be talked about with the greats and the classics, but it's largely forgotten.
I agree. To be clear- the only thing that (slightly) bugs me after a million viewings is the relationship with Edie, the graphic designer. I feel that could've been trimmed down.
Totally agree about Wolf. Good acting (at least from LD) but it didn't do much for me as a film.
The acting's good. Any one scene was good...just didn't like the pacing, I guess...?
