Examples:

Neil & Vincent both checking the chambers of their handguns in their elevator scenes

Hanna firing his machine gun in single-fire mode instead of full-auto during the public shootout

etc.

Share some of the details that you think make Heat stand out, a fine wine amongst common beer swill.

When Hanna's at the club talking to Albert and Tone Loc, Loc's going through his little routine of saying nothing and they show Albert nodding along like "yeah, see, look at all this good info I brought" cracks me up every time.

My favorite is Cherrito, father 2 little girls, unflinchingly using a little girl as a human shield during the shootout. Great way to show the lack of empathy.

The consistency of Vincent's reactions when he kills someone; the intensity of his face when he kills Neil and Cherrito are the same, as is the sound of his breath right afterwards.

Hannah saying he's gonna shower and sleep for a month. Whenever I'm exhausted from a rough week at work I think of that quote.

When McCauley comes home to find Chris sleeping on the floor, Chris gets up and, even though he's still very groggy, the first thing he does is reach for his pistol in its holster and slides it into position on his belt. It's just a subtle detail that shows the guy is street-smart, tough, and always on his guard, even when he's in the safety of his best friend's home.

I had no idea this thread was still around, I made it years ago. Glad so many people added awesome stuff to it, and glad people like you are enjoying it.

I'll add another one...

The way Neil looks at the hacker who gets the bank schematics, when he asks the hacker where he gets his information, and the hacker says something like 'this stuff is just floating out there, you just gotta know how to grab it. See, I know how to grab it.' Right then there's this great annoyed look that Neil gives him, like he's bullshîtting, telling him a tale, not really answering the question. It cracks me up every time.

I love the way Albert sips on his drink and the way he holds the straw when Vincent says 'Albert, what's wrong with you? You drag me here, waste my time like this'

once Neil extends his hand to Eady in the restaurant....the way he quickly throws a glance at his hand as if he is going to say 'are you gonna take it or what'
