One of the Greatest Soundtracks. . .

The Film's Musical score by composer John Debney is in my opinion one of the greatest film scores ever written for such a large scale action/adventure film. The whole 70 minutes of rock-solid soundtrack tells a story in and of itself. I would list my personal favorite tracks but they include most, if not every track on the CD. A must have for any collector.

Just thought I would mention, I recently came across a soundtrack available only on itunes for a video game called Lair . . . I could care less about the video game, but the soundtrack was done by John Debney, and is absolutely amazing! It's his first real action score since Cutthroat Island. The music is beautiful, and has a lot of variety, great anthems and choral numbers, and gives you the feeling of "huge scope", it was recorded with a 90 piece orchestra, and the sound mixing was also excellent . . . As soon as I sampled every track on the itunes music store, I instantly purchased the soundtrack . . . Ten dollars, you can't beat that! I know if you like the Cutthroat Island soundtrack by Debney, then you will also love his Lair soundtrack . . . Although I would not say it is better than the Cutthroat Island soundtrack, I would say that it is just as enjoyable to listen to on its own.

I think it's a Star Wars and Indiana Jones rip off

Then I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you are talking about. This has nothing in common with those soundtracks, except for that it's packed full of more adventure than those films combined.

Did anybody else notice that most of the music used in the trailers was actually from Army of Darkness, composed by Joseph LoDuca?

Horrible music; bombastic and relentless. Lacks the majesty, subtlety and sweetness of a Korngold score. Just a lot of bam-bam-bam. Like the lousy movie itself.

"Horrible music; bombastic and relentless."

I just watched CI tonight and that's exactly my response to the soundtrack.

It's mind-boggling, there are people who think this crud is great stuff.
