Like Incredible Hulk 2008 Forever is a reboot sold as a sequel
Both are a slight continuation but are set in their own continuity.
Batman Forever is a reboot of a different era.
I see the Burton-Schumacher Batman movies more like the James Bond films with a different actor portraying Bond while supporting cast members may stay the same.
