Oblivion Episode

I just watched and don't understand the ending. Was the entire 5th season leading up to the Oblivion episode the duplicate crew? Did the real crew even encounter the Borg queen? Are they closer to home using the coil they took?

Also, I remember that episode. At the end all that was on the planet was the people. No ship. If they were having the missions how they got ahead of the real voyager and created a ship of their own at the same time? I'm confused.

The episode is told from the perspective of the bio-mimetic crew. The rest of the fifth season is the real crew. I understand your frustration. It's a stupid episode. The worst one they ever did. Don't even bother to try to understand it because it makes absolutely no sense.

Comptly agree with you throughs everything else off.

Yes. one of the worst. What were the writers thinking? Or smoking? lol

Bio-memetic materials could create warp drive, could create the memories and personalities of the Voyager crew? Beyond stupid and silly. I hope their paychecks bounced for writing this episode!

I've always believed it was a writers inside joke. They wanted to show how erratic and righteous Janeway had become but without doing it out right. There's a few episodes where they acknowledge they got her wrong and wrote her badly.
