Did anyone watch this when it originally aired?

The 1995-2002 version.. Dumb question, I'm sure many of you did. Anyhow, I'm wondering if you might tell me a little about it..was it popular? was it on network tv? what time did it come on every week?..stuff like that..See, I didn't discover it til maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I know it as Syfy re-runs. Same goes for Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction (which if you have any info on that as it originally aired, that'd be cool too). Hope this makes sense. Just wanted some sort of proper history on it so I can recognize it as something more than as just an awesome old show that SyFy runs on marathon loops every now and again.
Thanks

I had constant 'parties' at my apartment while attending college at a major Univ. near OKC (won't say which but...Boomer Sooner!). After seeing several trailers I really wanted to watch this show and decided to turn off the music and tune into the OL. Other than that I did not watch much TV. Basically I started having 'watch parties' as soon as TOL came out, long before Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, or Game of Thrones had the same thing. At first it was me and maybe 4 or 5 others. Then girlfriends of friends and other friends of friends started coming over to watch the series. At some point I had close to 20 people coming over to watch TOL once a week, including GFs that hated it at first, but then insisted on coming over to watch it, whether their boyfriend wanted to or not. It went on this way for the first 2 seasons until I moved. So yeah, it was popular for those that made it great to watch. It may have not been the greatest sci-fi or thriller in the 90's, but I had enough people over to make it's existence justifiably watchable at the time.

BTW: I cannot remember what day or time or channel it came on. I've slept much since the original (1995) series came out, but Valerie 23 was the first for me.
