Imagine if...

... the TriStar jet they flew around in and pulled up to the terminal gate and merged physically with another aircraft already parked at the gate when the future "caught up" with them? Imagine if people were on board the future plane and they merged with the aircraft and died? It would have been the most significant phenomenon reported in the news!

I imagined this because Dean Stockwell's character told them to move against the wall out of the flow of people walking at the airport when the future comes in, so I imagine they could have merged with those people and caused deaths.

Then they all happily run at the end holding hands as the credits come in... meanwhile, hundreds of people may have just been killed from their aircraft merging with another!
