I used to love and ADORE this movie!!!!! I used to watch it all the time! Who were your favorite characters? Mine were the Jacquimo the bird, the frog that liked Thumbelina, the bad bug that liked her, and of course Thumbelina. What about you? Aww now I really wanna watch it. I had the movie, but last year my little cousin borrowed it and it hasn't been returned since...

sharei first saw this movie when i was, what, 4? I watched it again yesterday for the first time in AGES. this is my FAVORITE disney movie ever! when i was little i wanted to BE thumbelina so i could have prince cornelius. i mean come on, he rides a bumblebee! how badass is that? jacquemo or whatever name is always kinda bothered me though... he was wearing clown makeup for lordys sake! my faves are definetly thumbelina and cornelius.

I'd pick Cornelius as my favorite. He's a real hero! I was acutally worrying about him when he was frozen in the water. Thank God it's a cartoon.
Mrs. Toad is amazing too. a toad with a push-up bra, high heels and a Fran Drescher kind of hair style. I've never seen anything like it in an animated movie.
Thumbelina is very cute too, but she only gets few things to say, probably because there are about a zillion supporting characters in the movie.
lol I know what you mean about Mrs. Toad. When I was little, I loved her. I loved how she talked really fast and (at that age) I couldn't understand her one bit...she just made four-year-old me giggle. Many years later, I saw Charo on television and I recognized the voice...it took me almost a year to remember where specifically I knew the voice from, though. Since then, Charo has become one of my favourite celebs and Mrs. Toad reinforced as my favourite character. After all, what other kid-friendly cartoons show critters in clothes like that? I think it's great. Don't shelter the children...they'll end up traumatized if you do!

Well, maybe if you're desperate, and just want to watch it not own it, you could get it on Netflix. That's what I had to do.. it's not in any of our local video stores anymore.
