shareReeves and Bullock rescues a jetliner with bombs on board and saves the day. And the bomber is Hopper's deranged son looking to get payback for his death. And his son makes his father look like Barney Fife.
shareA plane is the logical setting for a third movie but might not be PC in this post-9/11 climate. Perhaps a train instead but it'd probably feel like a retread of Under Siege 2.

Jack (Reeves) and Annie (Bullock) will accidentally meet each others on a passenger train from LA to D.C. that is full of bombs set up by the evil twin brother (Dafoe) of the Speed 2's villain who wants revenge on Annie.
Jason Patrick plays the FBI EOD expert that communicates with Jack and Annie how to defuse the bombs. This will cause friction and drama with all three. Glenn Plummer will have a cameo as the "Tune Man" where his new Jaguar gets crushed by the train.
Sandra Bullock will scream a lot in this movie.
Speed 3 Could Happen Depending On The Story Says Original Director

Jan de Bont, director of both Speed and Speed 2, says that Speed 3 might happen depending on the story, as well as the original cast's availability.
I was thinking there was a third one already but had it confused with Turbulence 3:Heavy Metal.
shareSpeed 3 should feature both Reeves and Patric who are competing for Bullock’s affections but are forced to work together to defeat the bad guy(s).
I can’t see S3 happening to be honest, maybe back in the 90’s but not now.
So Jason Patric in Speed 2 was not playing the same character as Reeves in Speed 1? Only saw Speed 1 and I thought they just recast the male role.
