THE SHADOW KNOWS...
Awesome!
The Shadow ('94) is easily my favorite movie of all time. Considering I really don't like comic book movies or the superhero genre in general, I'll hold it up as a testament to just a great FUN movie.
The character was a truly human one, unlike the schlock the genre's movies try to saddle us with. He's easy to relate to as a character, and comes across as genuine - something few superhero movies to well at presenting, IMHO, though there are some exceptions. (Raimi's Spider Man, Ironman)
The Shadow was smart, outwitting his enemies than bulldozing over them with subtle tactics, but when it came time to pull the trigger, he CARRIED A GUN THAT HE USED TO SHOOT PEOPLE, unlike virtually everyone else.
The concept was awesome; it offends me that The Shadow isn't given more respect.
I mean come on, why would you waste time Wolverine-slashing your way through goons when you can bend the world around them in such a way that they understand they're as screwed as someone trying to play Chess with a Telepath?
Classy Heroes wear Tuxes...
I love it when i was a kid but i can tell if i rewatched it now i prolly would hate it lol so ill just keep it in memory as loving it....the concept of the shadow is a cool superhero tho regardless of the movie
shareIt's funny. I dislike movies a lot more often than I like them, but I like The Shadow very much.
shareThe Shadow is one of those pulp heroes who doesn't get enough attention. Well Him and Doc Savage. I mean how many Conan movies have there been? Not to mention that the Shadow is the partial inspiration for Batman.
shareCount me as one of the 1's as well. It's a very fun film.
sharei love that movie i am shocked it didn't succeed
