$400 a week?

Since when is making $400 a week right out of college, in the ground floor of the entertainment industry, in the early 90's, a bad thing? She acts like she is the poorest person in the world, just scraping by.

I think she was surviving just fine on $400 a week. I've done it but its enough to cover your bills and that is pretty much it. So when Michael asked her if she had a lawyer, her response is that she make $400/week so obviously she could not afford a lawyer.

I don't think she ever acted like she was super poor and she didn't live beyond her means but she certainly didn't make enough to save or pay for car repair/lawyer.

What are you doing here? Five words or less.

pft, i know.. living in a f--kin' palace... driving around in a BMW... Poor Winona. I LOVED the scene of her in the "Gap" - knowing her propensity for boosting clothes.
