Did you like early/mid 90's fashion?

The clothes in this movie always cracks me up so badly...especially the babydoll dresses and midriff tops. Sadly, that is exactly how I dressed back then (I was 20 in 1994). Babydoll dresses and clunky shoes/Doc Martens were my staples.

I see a lot of those styles for girls coming back around again. It wasn't a good idea the first time around! And I hope to god the unwashed hair look stays away!!

I like that a lot of the fashion (flannel shirts, boots, tights with dresses) are all back in fashion.

In 1994, I was 23. Here's what I loved: flowery dresses, jean jackets, tights with skirts, leggings, that short-lived Goth look - long-sleeved white blouses with lace and tight fitting light blue or black jeans. I hated when the hip-hugging jeans and those tight t-shirts with the lines across the chest. I did all I could to eliminate those lines and get embarrassed to this day if they occur. I think it looks just awful. I'll put my hands up my shirt and stretch the material as much as possible to avoid it.

I wasn't a fan of the grungy, unwashed look. I lamented the end of the 80s, except for the neon (which went out in 1986 anyway).

I loved my Levis 501s and flannel shirts and my wife had the legs and rack for the baby doll dresses she wore.

I really loved the clothes, actually. I was 21 in 1994 and miss the babydoll dresses from back then (which, with combat boots, was almost all I wore -- I couldn't afford Docs yet). They have newer style babydoll dresses around, but they don't look quite the same to me as the old ones. I occasionally even check eBay for some vintage ones, but rarely find them. FWIW, I still wear dresses with combat boots at 43, though. Some things never change.

I hated that women's fashion of covering up their bodies with god awful denim jackets, overalls, and sweaters. I lived in Southern California where winters are rare yet in '94 is was fashionable to dress like you lived in NYC in December. LOL
