My rankings shift from time to time since most of Stone's movies improve upon a second and third viewing.
WOW. just...im amazed. NIXON THAT high - - i just saw it for the first time. it was very decent, but i thought it was way too over-directed and under-plotted. i would have certainly thought most most people like BFJ on a oliver stone list more, if only for its astonishing direction.

I know this is an old thread, but thank you! Everyone seems to ignore Midnight Express! Absolutely loved it. Stone has a knack for writing an awesome script.
I'd have to put it like this
Platoon (probably because it was the first Oliver Stone movie I had seen, and it hit me hard)

I believe those are the only Oliver Stone movies I've seen, so admittedly I've gotta get on that soon. But still, one of my favourite writers/directors, no doubt.
