Anyone know a "Pat"??

I used to work with this person named Al. I worked with Al for over 2 years, and I still don't know if Al was a man or a woman. Al was black and had an afro, (both sexes wore that style) and was always in jeans and tee shirts, so you couldn't tell by clothes either. Finally I got sick of it, and I ask what "Al" was short for (I figured I would get either Albert or Alicia) Al told me this weird African name that I couldn't pronounce, let alone spell. (In other words, not even the full name helped.) Anyone else know someone like that? You don't know if they are a man or a woman?

I was a senior in high school, and there was a new freshman in my band class. For the first half of the year, I thought she was a guy. Seriously. As soon as I saw her the 1st time, I thought "Oh, it's a new freshman dude." To me there was no evidence to question this. Her face looked a somewhat masculine, she had a short bowl cut, and never wore makeup. I didn't hear her talk that much, but her voice could pass for a man's. And she always wore men's jeans and t-shirts. Plus her name was something foreign and weird, so that didn't help. I only found out her true gender when she was at a school dance in a tight, revealing dress and you could see her boobs and lack of dong.

No limits, no fears, no substitutions. 11/17/1995

There was a person the year below me in High School and everyone was talking about what gender they were. I still don't have a clue.

I have seen a "Pat" before. One time, and this was back in 2002, my dad and I were walking around the street and saw this person walking. This person wore women's clothes, had long hair and such, but the face, body structure, not to mention hairy legs, said that it could have been a man. I couldn't tell if the person was a man or woman. Actually, we both couldn't.

This other time, I went to a hobby shop with my dad and saw this person talking with these guys. Another person with long hair, but it was styled the way a woman would have it, wore a sweater jacket similar to what a woman would wear. However, the face and voice screamed male. I couldn't tell again.

All I need is one mic...

I know a Pat. I really was not sure of the gender. But I started to realize she was a woman when I saw bra straps under her tee shirt.

I loath androgynous sounding names. I am not sure why. I dated a woman who referred to herself as Andie. I referred to her by her given name of Andrea.

I can think of 2 off the top of my head. I had a teacher back in high school
who i knew was a woman (because i attended a french school, and you had to address
her as "madame") but outside of that was the butch-est looking woman i have
ever seen. She was teaching my french class, but was more well-known as
a gym teacher.

In more recent years I work with someone who has a similar body type to
PAT and has a voice that is just....gender neutral?

He also sports a pony-tail, which adds to the confusion. No word of a lie,
whenever i am at an event that this guy is working, when he walks away i ALWAYS
will get asked by someone around "hey...was that a guy or a girl?"

I have worked with this guy for about 8 years now, and it never fails.. His
gender is ALWAYS questioned!
