Awesome 90s movie

+1. Just saw it on HBO. It would make a good companion flick to Emilio Estevez's Repo Man. Keep it all in the family. :)

It has these things going for it:

- Charlie Sheen in his prime, delivering dead-pan humor and sarcasm

- Excellent support case and cameos including Henry Rollins (funny as hell as a 'serious' cop trying to impress a drive-along), Flea, Anthony Kiedis, Ray Wise, Claudia Christian, Ron Jeremy, Cary Elwes

- Awesome almost continual 90s rock soundtrack including The Offspring, NOFX, Randid, Bad Religion, Rollins Band, Suede

- Satirical, ironic and surreal humor throughout, targeting media, news, middle classes

- Great action

- Brilliant moment where Ray Wise and a bunch of cops are standing around watching the chase on a news station via a handheld TV - the channel randomly switches to Planet of the Apes. A cop in the background laughs and says "hehe monkeys!" and it cracks me up every time.
