The "new" forum. So who's all here?

So, who's all migrated over from the IMDB Friends forum? Hopefully most of the regulars will be here. And by most of, I mean everyone except imanassi.

reply

Well, I'm here. I'm also on TMDB and so are some of the others.

reply

As mentioned, TMDB is another.

Also this site, but I am iffy on it myself.

Hello :)

Not many of us yet...hopefully it will pick up.

This place probably won't last. The purpose is not to create a IMDb knock-off but to create a healthy, active forum that has a genuine community of its own.

I'm using IMDF which is the best, most accessible forum but doesn't currently have huge numbers. I'm pretty sure they'll create a Friends forum for us if we ask though.

reply

I am here.

@Painbow

Why aren't you over at TMDb? There, every movie and tv show already has its own discussion board.

reply

I went there and most of my searches went back unfound.
While here I've found, so far, everything I was looking for, including discussions I recognize.

We all wish to find exactly what we've lost, more than a decade of movies/series sharing can be replaced overnight, nor rebuilt that easily.

reply

That's because TMDb has been around for years and isn't simply an archive of the IMDb message boards like this site is. They also re-instated their own message boards only recently. This website is ofcourse a treasure trove of old discussions, but the chances of getting a reply to a post that was made back on IMDb are EXTREMELY low.

Anything, anywhere will take time.
For years Imdb didn't have photos, sorta black and white movie encyclopedia.

I'm not that bothered about being able to comment on specific films (especially when there's very few users) and I don't much like the forum lay out of that one. I might join at some point depending on how each forum develops.

The Internet Media Discussions Forum is just very accessible.
