I have only seen Red And Blue from the trioligy and they are trully magnificent, they are both a geniously created work of art.
Blue isn't actually in my Greatest all time films list(wich are Ten movies), but if I was to make a top 100 greatest films in cinema history list for sure it would be included for sure.
My Top Ten Favourites:
They are not in order, with the exception of the Godfather wich is number one.
The Godfather
2001: A Space Odyssey
The Maltese Falcon
Three Colours: Red
Citizen Kane
Barry Lyndon
The Silence Of The Lambs
The Third Man
Raging Bull
Amadeus
All three movies in the trilogy are subtle, layered and beautiful to look at.
"Blue" is among my all-time favorites, yes. So is "Red." I find "White" technically good, but it took a couple of viewings to appreciate the story.
Right on.
"Blue" is a very beautiful film. I've seen "White" (fun!) but haven't gotten around to seeing "Red". Yet.
And thanks for reminding me to rent a copy of "Le Divorce". Naomi Watts and Leslie Caron in the same movie? What's not to like? ;-)
Y'ever seen this one? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0220608/combined
It's nothing great, but it's fun, and the cast list is... well, see for yourself.
"Le Divorce" and "Blue" are among the movies I watch when I'm leaving for Paris. Gets me in the mood. And when I cannot be there, they do the same!
shareSaw it yesterday. It's a truly magnificent film, with so many subtle pieces of brilliance. I can't wait to get a copy of White and Red.
shareDefinately. Kieslowski is a friggin genius and I think it is one of the most beautifully filmed pieces of cinematic history
shareI've seen Three Colors: Blue so many times that I know all the lines by heart (I can quote them, with the related intonations!). Because of that obsession, I am also able to identify goofs nobody ever noticed - or dared mentionning. Still, my favorite movie of the Trilogy. Indeed, Kieslovski was a genius and, above all, a very sensitive man.
shareBlue is definitely my favorite in the trilogy and among my top 100 fav movies
