Rank the 3 films

I watched Blue last week and was amazed by it. One of the best films I have seen in a while. Just wondering what you all thought of the rest of the trilogy. If they are half as good as blue I think I will have a new favorite trilogy.

I'm quietly judging you.

1.BLUE, 2.RED, 3.WHITE. BLUE: The director, actress and score make that film. But most of all STORY.

I found that, when I was watching 'Bleu' and 'Rouge', I slipped into another world. The images, the music, and the stories are incredibly mesmerizing. . . .

Rarely can I watch a film more than once without an interval of several years in between viewings. However, I've watched 'Bleu' and 'Rouge' several times each, and feel there's still more to be seen in them.

Although I made the post a long time ago, I think it was foolish of me to term White "light
entertainment." It may be a comedy, but Kieslowski did it wonderfully. I still feel that the other
two films are much stronger, but I was too harsh in my criticism.

I don't like men and I don't like animals. As for God, he is beginning to disgust me.

1. White

The first time I watched these I like Blue the best but upon examining them a second time I realized that not only was the theme in White more devoloped it was really funny. White also made so many references Chaplin (a personal hero) with the character Karol Karol.

Red is an awe-inspiring masterpiece, White is amazing and a near-masterpiece, and Blue is beautifully made, but didn't fascinate me like the other two did (I definitely need to see it again, though).

I thought Blue was the best film ever when I saw it. Then I saw Red and was even more blown away!

I was left a little cold by White, however. It's definitely the weak link in trilogy for me.

After having rewatched them all 3 again...

1. Red...or Blue
2. Blue...or Red
3. White

Blue and Red are flat-out masterpieces. White is only a weak film when compared to its trilogy siblings but it's still an excellent film on its own.

On first viewing years ago, I loved Bleu and Rouge (the stories, characters, settings, and the wonderful music) but Blanc left me cold. Although I bought the trilogy on DVD a couple of years ago and have watched Bleu and Rouge repeatedly, I never watched Blanc a second time - I guess I should give it another chance.

Laura, it's getting away from us again!

Neither of the later films touched me in the same way "Blue" did. I liked "White" more than most posters, as it's funny, and has as much to say about EUROPE as "Blue", though less emotionally involving. I need to see "Red" again, as two viewings is not enough.

1. Blue - not a whole lot happens (perhaps the least of any of the three), but I was gripped throughout
2. Red - also fascinating; of the three, perhaps the greatest mix of both character and story
3. White - not up to the other two, in my opinion, but some very good moments and an interesting story

I'm sure you have seen them all by now, however...

Blue is definately the best.
Red is VERY close, and then White, which is still great, is not as powerful as the other two.

Also, see Dekalog, his 10 hour film comprised of 10 1 hour shorts each inspired by the Ten Commandments.

Heaven was also great (albiet not directed by him, just written by)

I am seeing more ASAP

all three are the *beep*

blue has an amazing third act and ending sequence
white is genius in its mixing of comedy and tragedy
red wraps it all up and it has the Judge :)...all his lines are poignant

each one is incredible in its all right and they are just different enough for me to say one is better than the other, all depends on what kinda color i'm feeling that day ;)
