This movie is the reason why they won't make a Zelda movie.

....ooooor, you could just forget about making it a movie and play the games instead.


Why are there always people that feel a game needs to be made into a movie or a movie needs to be made into a game when its usually something that's already good enough the way it is?


And it's probably the same people who end up whining and complaining later that it wasn't done right anyway ("right" meaning how they thought it should be).

-"But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen..."

In the same vein, The Legend of Zelda cartoon series is the reason why Link hasn't had an actual speaking role in anything since Captain N: the Game Master.

This is actually true. Imagi Animation Studios pitched a Zelda feature to Nintendo a few years back, and produced a fairly cool teaser that was recently leaked online. And Nintendo actually sited the critical and commercial failure of this film, and their bad experiences with it as one of the key reasons they wouldn't pursue Imagi's film and let them make it.

Sadly, this movie has pretty much destroyed any chance of us getting a Zelda film anytime soon. Maybe in ten years or so we can finally get the ball rolling, but for now, this film still haunts Nintendo and has a lot to do with how hesitant they are.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

If a live action Zelda film adaptation were made today, it would probably not be as good as the game franchise, and probably would fit in the rating of this film, but considering a majority of the terrible TV shows and films being made nowadays, I would not mind seeing one, would probably be a sight for sore eyes for all of the lousy horror remakes Hollywood is making nowadays.
