Due for DVD

Okay, "Sliver" was by no means a classic. It essentially took a good Ira Levin Book and turned it into a pulpy, soft-core piece of porn (Think "Caligula" without the fisting!!!). But having said that, it does have ambience to spare, a solid rock/techno score and that really neat room with all the hidden cameras.

It should be released on DVD by now, but until then, I'll enjoy Brian De Palma's even better film, "Body Double".

They were supposed to fly a helicopter into a volcano for their honeymoon, since Baldwin's character said he dreamed of doing that. It was an odd line and a weird ending. Probably from Eszterhas's original script. But I'm not sure if they ever completed that version. The helicopter crashed and they lost the footage. See the Trivia section. We should consider ourselves lucky that ending was scrapped. The current ending is bad enough.

With all the unbelievable crap movies released on DVD I absolutely can't believe this movie hasn't been released. Exspecially with someone as like Sharon Stone with the lead. This boggles my mind.
