shareLast year I watch Basic Instinct and it was like 10 years I did not saw it. And I thought it was a pretty solid thriller! Well done, well balanced. I loved the movie and the characters too and did not remembered the ending! I decided to keep it in my collection.
They're both basically the same - ludicrous, trashy stories with preposterous dialogue and character writing somewhat saved by the cinematography and atmosphere. Sort of enjoyable on a certain level, I guess.

Fan fact: Paramount, which made Sliver, owns US television rights to Basic Instinct (as they have since 1999), as they own said rights to the Carolco library (their TV rights to Terminator 2 also was their only involvement in that franchise until Genisys was released in 2015).
