I like The Seventh Seal a lot:

If you don't mind subtitles, this is a solid movie.

You know you've seen Fight Club enough times when you've seen it ONCE, ALL the way through!

Swept From the Sea is a chess movie to a degree. There's a great line about half way through, something like:

"Life is like chess...one has to learn to look ahead."

Though I admit, this is one of the highlights of the film.

I realise you stated 'movies', but the greatest thing I have seen about chess is the documentary 'Bobby Fischer Against the World'. This is a must see for anyone involved in chess.
