One of the worst movies I have ever seen!

I am normally a Stephen King movie fan. He's written great movies such as Carrie, Misery, and so many others. But this movie was bad. Just really really bad. I can't believe this was a spinoff of one of his books! Do I really have to write much more about it other than the fact that it was just really bad? I really can't think of anything I liked in the movie. I've never read the book and this movie makes me not want to. The only reason why I watched this movie was because it sounded like it might be interesting in the pay per view description. Maybe I should have come here to read about ppl's reviews first. I can't believe anyone would give this movie more than 1 star since it had a terrible and slow plot, horrible acting, and absolutely no climax. It was just flat all the way through. By the time I got watching the first half of it I was really pissed off because nothing entertaining really happens in the movie, like the whole movie throughout! And when something would happen it was soooo stupid. I can't believe I bothered to watch it all the way through just because I was in the hopes that something good eventually would happen. What a waste of my time! I want two hours of my life back! To anyone who may consider watching this, just take it from me that you will regret losing 2 hours of your life for watching this peice of junk.

No...... he has written some great BOOKS. The movie adaptations may not be to your liking so don't blame him for some movie that you can't stand.

Lame book which lacks the right dynamic and is just a pile of nice ideas, which in the end don't go together very well, except of course, the rather hamfisted deal-with-the-devil moral. It is so badly contructed that it was the last Stephen King novel I read. If I remember correctly there was something about two bullets hitting each other in the air, which is basically a declaration of creative bankruptcy.

The story does not work for a movie: too many characters are needed, so most of them stay one dimensional, dialogues have to be as reduced and obvious as possible to make things clear, and the dynamic of just going on and on could not be prevented (although as it seems the movie tries to start with a faster pace already).

Maybe a tv show would be a better format. Lots of time to give characters a story and a rather slow main arch, which then leads to a finale which only has to carry over the last episode.

I think the OP hasn't seen a lot of films is this is the worst he has ever seen. Granted its no masterpiece but pretty good for a first time watch

You obviously haven't seen Dolores Claiborne then. That Stephen King adaptation was straight up awful. I love Needful Things and have watched it countless times. This was Max Von Sydow's best movie if you ask me.
