How does the magic ticket work?

When Jack Slater is pulled into the real world, he's just a regular person, as is Benedict. Benedict's plan is to pull in villains from movies and use them to conquer wreck havoc in the real world. But if Slater and Benedict are just regular people when they are in the real world, wouldn't Death (Ian McKellan) and Dracula also be subject to the laws of the real world?

I think so. And it's something Benedict doesn't even give thought to. For instance one of the villains he said he wants to get on his side is Freddy Kruger. But I doubt Freddy would want to come out of his dream world where he is all powerful to come into the real world where he can be killed with a gun and not only that feel the burns on his face. I admit it is a very flawed plan.
