When her mother is getting her hair done & her mother breaks down

That scene ALWAYS upsets me.

It's the one where that woman is sitting in the chair and her daughter is telling her how beautiful she looks & then the adult daughter tells her mother she feels that her mother is NOT proud of her & NEVER encourages her & she wants her mom's acknowledgment and praise for what she's done in her life.

And then BOTH of them break down when her mother says she likes her hairstyle, after all, & that she IS proud of her.

While I can't relate because my mom has and is ALWAYS encouraging, it STILL made my ♥ break when her adult daughter was spilling her beans to her mother & then her mother who's extremely serious and stern-looking breaks down herself & tells her dau. she's proud of her and ALWAYS has been.

Eek, that scene just definitely stirred emotion & made you empathize with her daughter as if those 2 characters were real people!

The novelist for this book is definitely talented because she really made the characters come to life BOTH in her book & on the big screen! 

Sorry I'm two years late. But I agree, beautiful scene.
