In this film, little Elijah ran circles around Macaulay in terms of performance. Macaulay was too over the top and hard to take seriously as a genuine menace.

shareIn terms of a sustained career. Mac opted to walk away from the business. He's done a dozen interviews where he explains why he left, and that he only acts if the role appeals to him. Elijah never stopped so not really comparable
shareFunnily enough it was Elijah Wood who won the best child actor Saturn Award that year. So the voters in at the Saturn Awards thought he was better. I think I will go with Elijah too. Maculay was fine but Elijah also was in the more light hearted moments in the movie.

shareMacaulay Culkin has never been good really. He was a loveable, bad child actor. Famous for that silly shock face.
