Suppose that mob boss succeeded in escaping prison and wasn't killed by his psychotic lawyer during their pickup.

What was he going to do after that! Flee to a country that lacks an extradition treaty with the US? Hide as a fugitive for the rest of his life? His mugshot is likely plastered all over the place, including airports. I don't think he would have been able to even set foot on a plane without being spotted. And don't they revoke your passport if you're a wanted felon!?

I'm just curious if old Tony thought this through. Does the book talk about this?

Probably put him on a boat and move him to an island.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I'm assuming it would have been a private boat that didn't require legal documentation. Any kind of commercial travel. Be it by land, air, or sea. Would have been out of the question.

And make sure no one knows what island you're on! 😁

If he had money and was laundering it in the carribean, he could have taken a voyage there and set up a new life, bribing authorities.

Excellent point! Was he actually laundering money in the Caribbean? And hence, had the necessary connections/relations to seek refuge over there?

It's been years since I've seen this movie.
