I wonder why the Italian hitmen were so amateurish compared to Carlito. They seemed to be just some angry men with guns by Carlito outsmarted them. Should they be knowing some tricks since they are mobsters?
shareAgree — this part of the movie wasn’t well done. The Italian gangsters came across as comedic instead of intimidating (especially the scenes with the fat guy).
shareI think they were trying to show Mafia-style hit men in a more realistic manner. They're not cool, or attractive or nice people... they're fat, old and ridiculous. But still capable of shooting you in the face. And that actually makes them scarier to me. Imagine getting murdered by one of that lot? How embarrassing!
