Mask of the Phantasm vs Under the Red Hood
The fan cult classic, vs the more modern fan favorite of the Batman animated films. Which did you think was superior? State your film and why you picked it.

shareI'm glad ya'll mentioned this because these two movies really show who Batman is while carrying the same moral story.
Mask of Phantasm: Shows the classic noir romance feel of the the Detective Comics Batman, something that none of the movies have really played with.
Under the Red Hood: The more action packed modern Batman and Robin comics. Btw, this was the first time Jason Todd had ever been mentioned outside the comics (even Damian Wayne was mentioned in the Brave and the Bold)
No Number is best. 3 builds better than 2. 2 loves better than 1 and 1 mind is better than 3.
For me it's UtRH.
I really struggled with the animation style in MotP and didn't really find it captivating.

I gave it a shot, but only got 2 episodes in. I'm not a fan of the monster-parts of DCU and the particular animation style of BtAS. I know many people like it though, it just doesn't ring my bell :)

MotP if only for the AMAZING scene at the graveyard and Bruce's parents
Poor Men Wanna Be Rich, Rich Men Wanna Be Kings
And A King Ain't Satisfied Til He Rules Everything
While I love both, I'd say Mask because it explored Bruce's dilemma between becoming Batman and being with Andrea. He realized he wasn't above emotions like he thought. He thought he would never find love and be happy, and when she rolls by, he starts questioning himself and his promise. Plus the music really put you more into the movie than UtRH's music did
That awkward moment when you think someone's signature is apart of the post.
I liked both but Under the Red Hood is a little bit better.
