Valestra's Death

Is this the only time we see Joker actually kill someone with Smilex gas in the animated storyline? (Well, we didn't actually see it, but we did see the aftermath) I remember him poisoning people in "Laughing Fish", but I don't think there were any deaths. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I know the animated series was actually not allowed to show death (Batman's parents being an exception). So the Joker never actually killed anyone on the show. As this movie was designed for video (and later theater) they were allowed to go darker and thus show death. Although I imagine that there were still restrictions placed, as you don't see the bodies of the first two victims.

In an episode of The New Batman Adventures (BTAS season 3) called Holliday Knights, police or security guards are briefly shown dead due to Joker's smilex gas. In the uncut version of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, the character Bonk is shot by the Joker around the beginning of the film.
