the Thanksgiving scene

I love that scene, but I hate how so many mistakenly think of it as a Thanksgiving film because of that, disregarding that it's how they end summer camp

I have wondered about something from that scene. Wednesday, her brother, Joel and all the other misfit kids swoop in and wreak havoc on the “Pilgrims”.

Okay, they torch the village and we can see the fire burning in the background as Wednesday is saying goodbye to Joel.

But what happened to the campers and the two counselors that they were roasting over a fire?

When Amanda is tied to a stake, Wednesday smiles as she lights a match. Are we supposed to believe she actually lit a fire under the girl? Or was it just their intention to scare the heck out of the campers?

How else would the Addams kids and Joel not receive a visit from the authorities?

I always assume that the situation was brought under control off-screen shortly after the scene ended. The kids made their point, and the parents rallied and got things to stop. As for authorities... movie magic. They probably just didn't want to bother with pressing charges, thinking the less to do with the Addams, the better
