He must be the most inept detective ever. A murder or two every episode, he gets nowhere, in comes his dad, a DOCTOR, who then solves the murders with the help of his other medical workers.
And in whats with Steves hair its gone from dark brown to blonde

Steve's bumbling detective skills are just as much part of this show's Bond formula as Mark's later mind jogging to solve the case (you know the - "Chicken Teriyaki... Of course Chicken Teriyaki!" moment as Jesse witlessly dribbles Teriyaki down his chin utterly clueless as to how Mark has now recalled some key spilt Teriyaki from much earlier in the show).
If Steve knew what he was doing there'd be no show in the first place...
