sharei own the Special Edition DVD. its the DUMBEST alternate ending I've ever seen. ever. its one of those typical "maybe we can learn to blah blah blah" endings to a sci-fi movie. pure garbage. i love the whole original movie, however. pure awesomeness.

Luc takes like 60 bullets, and they spray him with a fire extinquisher or "coolant" whatever, and he's alive again? LOL Whoa.
What a waste of time of making that ending to...the fight was WAY too short in it.

sharei don't mind that the dr. was a traitor, i don't mind that luc dies. what bothers me about the ending is how would luc not know who his real parents are? plus i didnt like how the reporter girl just was there reporting as she watches luc dies. i know she acts like she's sad. but it just didnt feel right.

well that was awful! the entire fight scene was cut...now either the person who uplaoded the video edited the video OR the editors were pure rubbish wen they made that ending!

The fight was shorter originally, they did test screenings, changed the end and did some re-shoots to make the final fight longer.
From what I have read, this sounds like it was a *beep* ending, and would have ruined the movie. Certainly glad they didn't use it as they had intended.
