I thought it was scary the first time I saw it in (IIRC) 1992. Even today, parts of it give me the willies.
I think it's the whole "eating things turns you into troll food" deal. We all gotta eat, after all.
Or maybe I just like my splatter red.
i didnt watch it till i was 19 and didnt find it remotely scary, however i do remember seeing the case for it in the video shop when it was first released and always thought it looked scary (was rated 18 in the uk as well)
shareIf I had watched it when i was a kid, i would have been scared of the troll masks. now i can tell that it's the exact same 5 masks in every scene
shareyou aren't alone. i remember like yesterday watching it on HBO as a little kid and being petrified.
shareI didn't see it until I was about 17 so to me it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, but I'm pretty sure if I saw it as a little kid it would have scared me pretty good. The ending especially. Even as an adult, that's a little dark.
shareI was like 6 or 7 and it was on tv and I literally only saw like the last 10 minutes when there was like green slime in the shower and they ate that lady. I was so scared to take a bath for like months! And I was so scared the goblins were under my bed, I slept with my parents. I watched this movie maybe 6 months ago.... DUMBEST MOVIE EVER!!! It's so weird how scary things can be when you're little.
shareyup....i saw it when i was 8 or smth like that back in 92....and scared the *beep* out of me.....and kind of liked it back then :D
