Mother dead?

i thought the mother survived at the end and if she did why did tanya say "it looks like its just you and me clotous (watever the cats name was)" thats pretty silly if the mom survived

The mother didnt survive, she went up in flames along with the son, and the cat's name was clovis

no i meant the main actresses mother not the cat people

It is not made clear on the movie whether she dies or not. All we know is that she was thrown out of a window by the "cat people".

the cat's name was clovis...and when the cops arrive at the family's house - one of the cops helps her mother stand up and she is yelling about something...so I would assume that she was still alive...

I wondered about Tanya’s parents and when she says ‘It’s just you and me now Clovis, just you and me’ I thought ‘oh shit, her parents are dead??’

Then I watched it back and it’s clear that the mother survives, thank god. Tanya is an angel and she's been through hell, it would be terrible if after her ordeal she’s also orphaned.

That said, I'm not sure if her father survived. He got smashed in the face by a vase and then stumbled head first into a coffee table. People were trying to see if he was OK and nobody said ‘OMG he’s dead!’ but when Horace calls the department he says ‘…and I think she just killed Don Robertson!’

So it’s not certain but it’s not looking good. It would be really cruel if the filmmakers killed off Tanya’s dear old dad in such a cavalier way. It’s also kinda weird that Tanya doesn’t immediately race home to check on her parents, she’d rather fondle a cat.

Anyone know if Mr Robertson made it..?
