About time this masterpiece got an 8
I seem to remember this film hovering around the low 7’s on imdb, and always thought it deserved way more.
Time has repaired the injustice, thankfully, as people have been able to catch it on streaming and realise how fucking awesome it is.
It’s not just Pacino Oscar-bait, the writing and direction are fantastic, and Pacino delivers the greatest performance of his career. It blasts off the screen, and easily ranks as one of the best ever in cinema.
The blu-ray is getting a bit crusty now. We need a spanking new 4K UHD presentation worthy of this true modern classic.
