So confused ugh!! 🤨 someone hurts a child to the point that he's in the ER. 🤬 Mom takes the step dad back instead of throwing him out for good. 😱 And this don't tell Mom stuff. Really? 😳Was this mother that selfish of a person that she didn’t know what was going on with her own children? I’m sorry but even in an imaginary world that makes no sense. I do not know what to say except huh? Don't understand this movie at all!

So it hit me. In the end when his brother flys away, it was him,
picturing his brother flying away like they planned. But, his brother was actually dead. His brother died from the step dad beating him to death. When Hanks is telling it in the end, he is telling it how he wants. Because that’s how he wants to remember that tragic and life changing moment, by picturing his brother finally escaping it!
