The boys were taken from the town police station to the county or was it state?) jail, and Vinny arrived shortly after that. From NY to Alabama. Withing the same day.
How long would it usually take to drive that far?

Which brings back the question, how fast did he drive? The boy just got to the jail, were not in uniforms yet (even tin ah ill) and he got there right after tg put in a cell) and he got there right after them.
