I hope people agree with me but this is one of the best seasonal films to watch and I always watch it with my family every year at around 4 oclock on Christmas Eve, it's the final thing that prepares you for Christmas Day. I must say it is the ultimate Christmas Eve movie.

Michael Caine is one of my favourite actors, and his scrooge is by far the best in my oppinion. Also the beautiful music and the muppets, makes this my favourite christmas movie:)
In my family on christmas eve we always watch this, national lampoons christmas vacation, and a christmas story.

It is DEF my Unltimate Christmas Movie!! I lOVE IT!!!!!!! Followed by the Original Tim Allen's the Santa Clause and then the Christmas Story.
And ok, I am an adult and I still rent out the Misfits in Toyline series!!
I thought I was alone in this.
But every year for as long as I can remember I always watch this movie late Christmas Eve/early Christmas day as the last thing I do before I go to bed. Seems like the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirt for the big day. And I only watch it that one time per year, so when I take the VHS out of the VCR and put it away, it makes me sad. I'm such a freak for Christmas!

My family always watches National Lampoons Christmas vacation in the run up, just a hysterical and festive film. I always throw on Home Alone and scrooged as well.
On Christmas Eve however(in the night), its got to be Its a Wonderful Life and Scrooge(1951 version), they just get you in that happy mood before you go to bed.
Ive always watched the muppet version on christmas day, just seems more fitting to me.
Oh yes - I just watched it while I was decorating the tree. It comes out every year either while I'm decorating, wrapping or baking. Definitely my favourite Christmas movie!
Scrooged and Love Actually will be getting the treatment soon...

I love this movie. I watch it every December along with A Christmas Story, A Garfield Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Santa Clause...etc etc. It is def one of the ultimate Christmas movies. I love it, its even one of my favorite versions of A Christmas Carol...Patrick Stewarts is good too.
If only you could see what I've seen with your eyes.
For sure, I watch this every year at Christmas, it's absolutely the best version of the Chrsitmas Carol ever, that's a fact. Although this is my favorite, I also watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and I catch Charlie Brown EVERY TIME it comes on ABC. I know, I'm such a 6-year-old.

shareThere's so many great Christmas movies and cartoons, we have to start watching them Thanksgiving weekend to make sure we've seen them all by Christmas! I fell in love with Christmas shows as a child and now as a 46 year old with a wife a 3 kids we all get into the Christmas shows each year. Muppet Christmas Carol is definitely near the top, and thus it's become one of the last ones we watch (saving the best for last)We also listen to the CD soundtrack when we're all in the car:)
shareThis is the one movie my brother dad and me only watch once a year, and that one time is christmas eve right before we go to bed! It is THE BEST christmas movie ever. Good songs, classic story, great scrooge in michael caine :) We spend all of christmas eve singing "...after all there's only one more sleep 'till christmas." Its just so christmasy and never fails to make me smile. We even refuse to buy it on dvd cause we've always watched it on vhs. ts so special.
