This movie was the death of the 80's action genre
A total Vagfest, the movie was unwatchable.
Horrible.

In 1991?
sharecouldnt disagree more
a brilliant mix of action comedy romance and drama with a bit of boyz n the hood thrown in
outstanding in fact i think i gave it 10/10👏
Really? This is my favorite part in the series!
shareI loved this movie when I saw it at the theater as a kid. Rewatching it today totally ruined it for me. It was pure cheese, and not the high quality French kind, but Kraft Singles plastic kind. I need to leave my childhood movies in the past where they belong.
George Orwell was an optimist.

The movie that ended the 80's action cycle was Rambo III. Not only was it a lousy movie, but since it had Rambo fighting an enemy that had ceased to exist it was also immediately out of date (I'm old enough to remember it coming out).
Lethal Weapon 3 is a nondescript but fun action film, it had the misfortune to come out the same summer as T2 which changed action movies and upped the standard for everyone. That was the real game-changer.
LW 3 came out in '92, T2 came out in the Summer of 1991.
shareI never liked this movie very much. Watched it tonight on AMC. Really I just wanted to watch a million Walking Dead commercials, this movie was just getting in the way. But boy I tell you what. This movie is freaking great. It's a lot more toned down after the bonanza of ridiculous we got in the second movie. Felt much more like a gritty cop drama and the action and stunts were all fairly grounded and believable. Good bromance, good humor, most of the jokes land pretty well. I had the subtitles on and I actually picked up on a lot of great dialog I never noticed before. Very character driven, like all the Lethal Weapons are. And such a gorgeous early 90s movie like all those movies were back then. Took three decades to appreciate it, but i'm a big fan now.
shareIt's one of the best action comedies of all time. I like this one-liner of Riggs: "Semantics? I'm always up for some antics."
