I don't know why but I find it eerie, looking at pictures and film of the world trade center before the towers were destroyed. I can't put my finger on it but just makes me feel...sad?

A more tragic omen and reminder is the WTC scene in ARMAGEDDON. Looked almost exactly like what really happened!

Even the hilariously bad movie Super Mario Bros. (1993) where the Twin Towers dissolve, or the cover of Die Hard (1988) where a resemblance of the World Trade Center is exploding at the top.

I'm sure there are more 9/11 references but, you're right, the scene from Armageddon (1998) stands out the most in my mind.

Did you noticed that right after Kevin looked up at the towers, it showed the sign airport security after that? Eerie!!!!
