Did anyone see this in the Theaters?

I saw this in about May 1992- at the Lowe's Theater at Tysons Corner, Virginia. I had just turned 13 years old. The lead actress- Rebecca De Mornay reminded me of a girl I had a crush on at horse camp. The movie was intense for my age.

Yes I did, and everyone screamed when Peyton's alarm clock went off towards the end of the film

reply

Yeah that part still makes me jump lol

reply

I did. I feel so old because I forget how long ago 1992 was (I was 19 in 1992.)

The beauty is I'm learning how to face my beast ~ Blue October

reply

I don't think that makes you old. Old is like 70 and over.

reply

Thanks, I am 71. Only kidding, 53. :)

i was 13 in 92 . i didnt see this when it came out in theatres however i wish i have .
i bet people were so hooked up on this . the plot is so compelling . what did people think about it then when they left the cinema ?

I was 18 and a senior in high school when this came out. I saw it as a double feature at a drive in. But I can't remember what the second movie was. It's a good movie. I think it holds up well and doesn't appear to be dated like some movies that came out around the same time.

agree

I was about 14 when it came out.saw it in the theater, was such a good movie. But hella creeped me out about getting pap smears. ..

reply

I saw it twice in the theater. I was 15 when it came out. I can still remember everyone in the theater standing up and cheering when Clair slugged Peyton!

reply

I did. I remember everyone cheering when Emma tells Peyton "You're not my mommy!". this was a good movie to see in the theater- everyone had strong reactions! i was young when I saw it, watched it last night and it was completely different watching it form a different age/decade but still a suspensful movie. I felt so bad for Soloman then and now as well!

reply

I was 5 when it came out and I do remember hearing about it through the buzz of the early 90s--gossipy mommies and older sister (who was trying to frighten me about scary babysitters).

reply

I was...just a bit older than 18 when I saw this in the theater-I think it was either a cinema-grill or a discount theater. I can also remember people cheering for Emma when she said, "you're not my mommy!"
