Tommy was a drug dealer right?

Only person with a pager
Had to leave every time he got a page
ALWAYS had money
Dressed nice

He was def a hustler of some sort. Dude had connections to celebrities (Will Smith, Hallie Berry, Shaq, etc.) for Martin's birthday. You don't get those being a regular Joe. Tommy had to have been a big time drug dealer.

reply

Of course he was a drug dealer. Not to mention an arms dealer, a pedophile, a womanizer, a liar, a thief and an ordain minister. You hit the nail on the head!!

Tommy did imply he worked at Martin's old school. Though, he did tell Martin he didn't think it was a good idea for Martin to tell America what his job was when Martin was trying to film some kind of pilot for the TV producers...

It's like, cool. It's like, totally rad awesome!

reply

Tommy did something that wasn't right that is why he couldn't say.

Tommy was like Barney Rubble...He ain't got no job man!!

reply

I always thought Tommy was a spy. He mentioned that Cole had to go to his job in blindfold. Or he was an assassin.

That is HILARIOUS! Because it's actually very plausible. In fact, Martin even pointed out on one episode that Tommy had many connections to the underworld. I bet everybody involved on the set were laughing their heads off when the show aired with the "you ain't got no job!" joke.

Jenny: Why are you so good to me?
Forrest: You're my girl!

reply

I would have loved to be apart of that cast or at least been behind the set or something I would be cracking up big time. I love that line too "you ain't got no job".

reply

The problem is, selling drugs requires work. And out of everybody in the crew, Tommy was the only one with a bunch of free time on his hands. No damn job man lol.

reply

Lol, I've never thought about that.

reply

Nah, I don't think so it could explain these big wads of money he always had.

reply

Remember the episode where Gina gets her head stuck in the bedframe? Tommy pulls out a blow torch and says he has it for his job. If you apply the drug dealer theory to that, it's pretty freaky!

reply

It was a sitcom. You're thinking too hard.

reply

he was a pimp
