Since this movie was released in early 1991, did this or was it somehow meant to correlate with the Gulf War? I thought I may have heard there was meant to be some connection. Because in the title is states the word "enemy". And her controlling husband if I remember right, was of mideast origin, like Iran or Iraq. Or is this just all some kind of coincidence?
shareYour post got me curious. The movie was filmed between April and June 1990 which preceded the Gulf War so the release date would have been purely co-incidental if there is any supposed correlation. In addition, Patrick Bergin is an Irish actor and his character was not middle-eastern either.
