I have to give Stallone credit for being pretty good in "Oscar" he certainly has a gift for comedy. It's a shame that both this and "Stop or my Mom will Shoot" both tanked because as a result he never went back to doing comedy again.

Incidentally, this and "Stop" is where Dtalline looked his best too.

It has been so long since I have watched this film. I don't really remember much about it.

The first fifteen, twenty minutes have plenty of cringey moments. But it gets better as it goes along and the jokes land more often than not.

After a couple of good weeks of box office (April-style) ...it disappeared.

But it is well worth a watch. Very funny. Great cast. Stallone stars well.

I thought Oscar was hysterical. It is a modern-day throw-back to the old screwball comedies of the 30s and 40s.
If you pay close attention, there is a beautiful reworking of the old Abbott and Costello "Who's On First" routine between Stallone, Chazz Palminteri and Peter Riegert, with a subtle assist from Ornella Muti as Stallone's fiery wife.
